Today, Elon Musk has just declared that he will bankroll the “America Party” as a Trump alternative. “By a factor or 2 to 1, (his quick poll on X told him) you want a new political party, and you shall have it,” Musk said Saturday afternoon in a post on X. What a grandiose statement. He is threatening to primary those in the House, who voted for the Big Beautiful Bill.
A quick poll, among people who post on X is hardly a coalition-building outreach. THAT is what it would take for any third party to be even mildly effective. This third party is NOT an effort to improve our country. It is a move for POWER by a rich guy, over an administration who passed legislation that endangered some of his income. A rich guy who doesn’t know all he thinks he does.
What it “insane”, Elon, is that you, like Obama refers to the US as a “democracy”. Thought you might have known that this nation is a republic.
“If this insane spending bill passes, the America Party will be formed the next day. Our country needs an alternative to the Democrat-Republican uniparty so that the people actually have a VOICE,” says Musk. Well, Elon, now that you’ve done this, YOU MAY NOT LIKE WHAT OUR VOICES WILL SAY. I am guessing, though, that he will not actually listen.
The voice he intends to be heard, is HIS.
Does he not have a CLUE as to how grateful is most of America that we finally got Trump back??
We struggled through years of election fraud, stolen votes, and a swamp of lies, from people who wasted years of our lives and billions of dollars of our money, trying to impeach a POTUS because they feared what he might learn about them. THAT, followed by the coup run by Obama, Pelosi, Jill Biden and anyone who could operate an autopen, and more trillions down the drain. OUR trillions! We came out of that grateful that, by the literal grace of God, we got Donald Trump back to 1600.
Donald Trump is not perfect, but he is light years better than what infested DC for the past 17 years.
Elon Musk had briefly joined the Trump team, to help dig through some of the piles of damage done by previous administrations. In so doing, Elon endeared himself to millions around the world. DOGE uncovered an unspeakable amount of waste and fraud, and Americans, especially, were grateful. As Scott Bessent said to Dana Bash today, the concept of DOGE was popular. Musk, not so much.
There was always an undercurrent of distrust, or perhaps just curiosity about how and why Musk showed up where he did. It was quite possibly self-serving, to his various business interests, that the United States remain a world power, yet as long as he worked with our new POTUS, and FOR our country, most welcomed his efforts.
I AM happy to report, however, that Elon was almost immediately punished for his sudden third-party move, even before the American people got much of a chance to respond.
Azoria—a prominent investment firm with deep ties to tech and AI innovation—has yanked its support from Tesla ahead of a planned ETF launch, citing CEO Elon Musk’s surprise announcement that he is launching a new national political party, “The America Party.” Its CEO, James Fishback, said that “Elon has gone too far.” He believes that this new venture will get in the way of Musk’s duties at the help of Tesla.
Azoria was encouraged when Musk quit DOGE and went back to Tesla in May. Fishback said,
“With Elon fully engaged, he gave shareholders renewed confidence in Tesla’s future. Elon’s announcement today undermines that confidence. Unlike his work with SpaceX or xAI, which complement Tesla’s R&D efforts in AI, automation, and engineering, a political party not only fails to complement Tesla’s mission—it actively undermines it.
“I just sent the attached letter to Robyn Denholm, Chair of Tesla’s Board of Directors. I encourage the Board to meet immediately and ask Elon to clarify his political ambitions and evaluate whether they are compatible with his full-time obligations to Tesla as CEO. I remain hopeful that Elon will return his full attention to Tesla. If not, I trust the Board will take appropriate action.”
Sounds to me like Elon’s Board might just consider canning him. THAT, folks, would be sweet, IMHO.
The next chapters will unfold quickly, and I cannot leave this topic without sharing my concern about another small man who craves big power. That would be the governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis, once supported by Musk.
Grok tells us that the comms between Musk and DeSantis are on the rise since the spat. After the first kerfuffle between Musk and Trump, DeSantis sent out a mailer from his Ron PAC, which jumped to Musk’s defense. Remember, in 2023, Elon favored DeGov for POTUS as the Presidential Primary season heated up.
Both men have a streak of childishness, unbecoming to men in seats of power. Neither seeks to build coalition among groups, which is the only way to truly grow and strengthen things. That would take time and lots of hard work. Each goes after people in a different way.
Elon rants, while DeSantis likes to stage “Dog and Phoney shows” where he grabs a mic and promises things he does not do. The examples of this are too numerous to list, but if you have fallen for the “DeGoodguy” routine, don’t. Behind the scenes, DeSantis is cravenly anti-America First, as his administration has shows since it began in 2019.
DeGov’s own advance team made that clear several years ago, when a Hillsborough County, FL, official mounted an “America First” banner on the dias at which De
Santis was about to speak. “Take that down!” said the woman from DeGov’s group . “HE is NOT America First!!” She wanted to make sure that those present never made that mistake again.
I want to make sure America understands the same.
It will be interesting to see where the Musk/DeSantis relationship goes from here. Will Desantis send out more mailers from his RonPac, applauding Musk, right after the dog and phoney show at Alligator Alcatraz? Or, will he work behind the scenes with him? Right now, those seem to be the two most logical options.
Neither man wants to actually work on consensus building. To improve things. To do that, they would have to reach out to others and actually listen. This takes a lot longer than a quick poll on “X”. Both men appear to want power only. At this point, sadly enough, it seems like they both look to destroy Trump. Should this third party thing manage to tip the balance of Congress enough to lose our MAGA control, that is exactly what they will have done; and they would take America down with them.
I’ll say it yet again; If either wanted to actually improve something, they would spend time, build coalitions, and make sure our election systems were honest and free from fraud. Only in Communist countries is power the chosen tool to control the people.
If you want to review all the things DeGov has done to citizens in his own state, please subscribe to pat4evr/Kats Meow on Substack. I have been writing about them for nearly three years now. I’m just getting started on Elon Musk.
Fingers crossed and prayers up. And eyes wide open.
Blessings,
Kat
I do not believe that MAGA will be hurt. Musk’s party may attract middle of the road Democrats that will be defecting the Democrat Party by the millions. Combine that with RINOS looking to keep their place in DC, it will be a party of misfits with no common policy agenda.
Why would they be pro-America when all the RINOs aren't? >Sarcasm< So sick of things like this in politics.
