The Lesson Of Chicago
Free and Fair Elections Are The Only Way To Retain Freedom
The lesson from a dying city is simple and clear.
Free and fair elections are the key. A civilization dies without free choice.
What has happened to Chicago (or LA, or NYC, or …) can happen to any of us, anywhere. Your town may be a long way from it. Or, it may be closer than you ever dared realize.
You can see it in Communist countries around the globe. You can see it in the Communist-run cities of America. That’s what makes those of us who are involved in election integrity so concerned when we see evidence of those on the “red” side involved in questionable practices.
Our election process is what makes America the envy of the world, and the target of our enemies.
If there are no real choices on the ballot, two things happen.
First, citizens get discouraged and quit going to the polls. If they don’t like what’s happening, there’s nothing they can do about it. No amount of “bellyaching” can change that. They don’t vote because there is no reason to. Why bother? Voting, for them, changes nothing.
Second, the citizens become victims of the party in power, which KNOWS, of course, that they don’t have to present the electorate with anything to help their lives. Those in power can do whatever they want.
And, pretty much, do. Think zoning changes BEFORE THE FIRES in LA. Think Chicago’s refusing the help of the leader of our country to prevent senseless murders. . . .
The fewer who vote, who participate in what they feel is a futile exercise, the more secure are the rulers. In general, in Chicago, voters only bother to go to the polls 30 - 60 % of the time. Those who do show up, do so to please an alderman, to be in line for “favors”.
Chicago is a tragic example of one party rule - a ‘hellhole” as our President has tagged them. Those hellholes appear whenever and wherever citizens do NOT have their free choice of elected leaders. One-party rule is the only way for thugs and Anti-American sycophants to stay in office.
Don’t like several dozen murders per week? Tough.
Chicago is the veritable poster child of life without liberty. I am not sure if it will ever recover. And it kind of breaks my heart…
Once, it was a pretty nice big city. I lived and worked there for a decade. I walked home from work in the dark, sometimes cold but always safe. I spent time with neighborhood organizers, going into their ‘hoods to see what they wanted and needed. You see, I worked for a big bank which thought it could help.
Even with mayor Richard J. Daley and his home rule powers behind our efforts, my bank could not.
When one day, from my office window, I saw the hearse pull up to City Hall to take his body away, I somehow knew things would only get worse. Of course, they did. Bilandic, Byrne, and Daley, Jr., followed Da Mayor as leaders of Chicago. They lacked the charisma and the contacts, I guess. They could not keep control of Daley’s Machine, and the city’s free-fall began in earnest.
Enter Obama, Rahm Emmanuel and the mayoral legacy that has led to the gender dysphoric, Lori Lightfoot, and the raging lunatic, Brandon Johnson. SEE what happens without choices?
Do NOT let that terminal disease spread your state.
Do NOT think it can’t.
The Left is everywhere and like a fatal germ, spreads most effectively in the darkness, where people least expect it. Or, in the case of a few states which people automatically think of as “red”, under cover of the “Republican” party label.
The advent of Trump 47 has awakened millions. Not to suddenly changing parties, but to the reality of what the mandates and programs of one party have caused. The complete evil and rot in the governmental swamp with which Donald Trump’s administration is now dealing is starting to dawn on Americans.
Here I go again…. There is only ONE solution to stop the loss of our freedom": Get off the couch and out the door!!
I know I’ve been preaching that for over a decade, but getting involved is fundamental to living in freedom.
Here are some simple steps:
*register and vote. Sounds too simple, but it’s basic.
*Learn about issues and candidates in each and every election STARTING WITH PRIMARIES. Share the information with neighbors and friends, even if they think they don’t want to hear it. Be cool but be direct.
*VOTE IN EVERY PRIMARY. That’s how you impact the general elections. Again, sounds simple, but HERE ARE THE FACTS: Voter turnout in U.S. primaries is significantly lower than in general elections. Since 2000, national primary voter turnout has ranged between 18% and 29%. For local and state elections, it is even lower, in the 15% - 25% range; lower still for run-offs and off-year elections.
Net, net: we’re doing a lousy job of cleaning up those enemies of our Republic who have infested our government. The moral rot in Congress is a nauseating example of that. How long have we allowed those hate-filled Anti-Americans to “represent us”? And to GET RICH DOING SO?!?
Never vote for someone just because you recognize the name!
*Join a local political group and get involved in candidate discovery, vetting and promotion. Don’t hide from politics as if it were a dirty word!
Politics is what determines our future. It is a fact, whether or not we like it.
In closing, I have to say that I really don’t care if Trump sends the National Guard to Chicago. Frankly, I’d prefer he didn’t. The Left/Communists have wasted/stolen enough of our money. Would the act of a caring POTUS dawn on enough Chicagoans to ensure that they wake up and help their city regain sanity? Only then would it be worth doing.
You tell me.
Blessings,
Kat

Chicago has a long history if Crime and Corruption because it has been run by criminals. But now it’s crime has hit record levels. I feel that the only way to keep it from becoming competely controled by cartel, gangs and communist is to send in the troops to push back on these groups when you have people who live in fear they keep their mouth shut and don’t vote.
I guess I want to say, are they ready? Because some groups have to give up the forever bellyaching victim and stop getting their noses out of joint because others get some attention. I watched the meetings where blacks complained others were "getting theirs," and having seen it before, wondered if they are ready to grow the eff up. It's everyone's city or it's going to just be your messed up city.
